Grape harvest at Poggio Piero in 2017

Life must go on as the land waits for no one and the grapes need to be collected. A snap shot of our grape harvest at Poggio Piero in the summer of 2017. It was a very hot dry year and so many of the grapes didn’t have much juice in them. Look closely and you’ll see where wild boar have been nibbling at the grape bunches. Getting food where they can before the hunting season starts in November.
